DARZALEX® in combination with Pomalyst®
(pomalidomide) + dexamethasone
The frequency and length of DARZALEX® infusions decreases over time.
On average, the first DARZALEX® infusion may take about 7 hours. However, your doctor may choose to give the first dose as two shorter infusions over two consecutive days.
Future infusions will take less time and last 3 to 5 hours, not including check-in and check-out time. After the initial rounds, DARZALEX® treatments are needed only once every four weeks.
Other medicines in this regimen are given as follows:
- Pomalyst® (pomalidomide) by mouth on days 1-21 of each 28-day cycle*
dexamethasone by mouth or IV infusion once a week†
- On DARZALEX® infusion days, a portion of the dexamethasone dose may be given as a pre-infusion medication and the remainder given the day after the infusion
- For some patients, the entire dexamethasone dose may be given as a pre-infusion medication
*Please refer to the pomalidomide Prescribing Information for more detailed information about pomalidomide dosing.
†Your dexamethasone dosing may be modified by your doctor. Please see the DARZALEX® Prescribing Information for more information.
